After six months of continuous residence in Iceland, all persons are entitled to health services in the country.
Persons with the E-104 certificate may obtain the right to benefit from health services directly after arrival. To do this, you need to take the E-104 certificate to the Health Insurance or its department in your place of residence and apply for entry into the Social Insurance Administration.

The website www.heilsuvera.is is a service for Healthcare Centers. On Heilsuvera, you can receive advice from a nurse through the online chat daily from 8 am - 10 pm. The website also has a lot of information about health and abuse and what to do.
You can sign in on the website with your electronic id (rafræn skilríki). Then you can see your healthcare history, renew your prescriptions, send messages to your doctor, or book an appointment at your local health clinic.

Dental Care – tannlæknir
Dental services are provided by dentist Theódór Friðjónsson. The dentist´s office is located in the Healthcare center at Hátún 2, and it´s open twice a month. You can make an appointment by calling 553 1100 / 8646472 or contacting the healthcare center in Vík.
